Waymo Reaches 8 Million Miles

Waymo’s autonomous vehicles have reached another milestone with hitting 8 million miles (13 million kilometers) driven in autonomous mode on public roads in 25 U.S. cities. And that only six weeks after Waymo hit the 7 million miles. Additionally, the company also reached 5 billion miles in the simulator.

Every day the cars add another 25,000 miles.

Currently, Waymo seems to have doubled down on driving. Today I encountered with two minutes three of their cars in Mountain View, and that at 6:45am. Here is a video that I recorded.
