Nuro R3 Delivery Robot from Up Close

The Mountain View-based startup Nuro.ai develops refrigerator-sized delivery robots that drive on roads. The company also has one of the coveted licenses that allow it to drive driverless and commercially in some parts of California.

Now I had the opportunity to see the current delivery robot R3 up close. An interesting detail, by the way, are the tiny rear-view mirrors that must be fitted to the delivery robot in accordance with the specifications for road approval from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
