Waymo Expands Massively in San Francisco

Every few months I visit the Waymo depot in San Francisco and film the vehicles and location there to see what’s new. This time I noticed that the depot was very full in broad daylight and at the same time there were a lot of Waymos on the road in the city. There were so many of them that I saw 2-3 Waymos turn the corner or stop at the traffic lights several times in a row. I was on 18th Street and then in the Financial District as far as the Ferry Building. My ordered vehicles also arrived within a few minutes compared to before. The most glaring was one that arrived in less than a minute. That has never happened to me before.

My feeling was that Waymo must have greatly increased its fleet in San Francisco, previously estimated at around 250 vehicles, to an estimated 500 to 600 vehicles. Waymo has registered a total of 778 vehicles with the DMV for California, the majority of which are probably driving in San Francisco.
