Waymo Does Now 150,000 Paid, Driverless Rides per Week

In May 2024 it was 50,000, in September 2024 100,000 and now at the end of October it is already 150,000 paid and driverless trips that Waymo carries out every week and drives one million miles (1.6 million kilometers) autonomously. The robotaxi company Waymo announced this in a tweet today.

With the recently raised 5.6 billion dollars in additional capital, Waymo is picking up speed with its expansion. And others are hot on the company’s trail. Cruise, Zoox and Tesla have also stepped up their efforts.
