Zoox – An (Almost) Unknown Robotaxi Manufacturer?

Waymo, Tesla (or Cruise at the time) are known to most as the most prominent developers of robotaxis and self-driving technology. What is overlooked is that 30 companies in California still have a license to drive autonomous cars on public roads. A seemingly high number, but as recently as 2019 there were still over 70 manufacturers. It is therefore time to introduce an important competitor in the robotaxi competition: the Amazon subsidiary Zoox.
