Waymo Started Tests in London

Waymo has now officially begun testing in London, as the company announced today in a LinkedIn post. And Google’s sister company wants to move quickly. The robot taxi service is set to launch in 2026.

After Tokyo, London is the second overseas location outside the US where Waymo plans to operate its self-driving cars as robot taxis. Toronto in Canada also appears to be under consideration. It is still unclear which will be Waymo’s first continental European city or region. But here is a list of Waymo’s currently known and announced locations in the US:
