Afeela Presents Final SUV Design

When Sony wanted to demonstrate at CES 2020 where its own electronics and entertainment systems are already being installed in automobiles, the idea was to present this in a car. No sooner said than done. Sony simply developed its own car and could not predict how the audience would react to it. The audience was enthusiastic about the car. The Sony bosses had no choice but to found Sony Mobility and announce their own car.

Three years later, at CES 2026, Sony presented the final design of the Afeela SUV, which had already been unveiled as a prototype at CES 2022, alongside the already familiar Afeela sedan, which is scheduled to hit the market in 2026.
