Zoox Quadruples Service Area in San Francisco

Amazon subsidiary Zoox has quadrupled its service area in San Francisco and now covers the northeastern part of the city, stretching from Marina in the northwest to Noe Valley in the southwest, Dogpatch in the southeast, and North Beach in the northeast. However, access is currently limited to a select group of users. So far, only employees, family members, friends, and a small number of users from the waiting list have been granted access to the service.

The test area is also being expanded in Las Vegas, and Austin and Miami are set to be the next cities to be included in the service expansion.

Since Zoox began operations in Las Vegas last September, the company has driven nearly 2 million miles in autonomous mode and transported more than 350,000 passengers in its limited service areas around the Las Vegas Strip and in San Francisco.
