Bauer’s Intelligent Transportation received a license to test autonomous vehicles on public California’s roads, which makes it the 31st entity. The San Francisco based bus company has 400 customers and transports every day thousands of workers to the offices of clients such as Salesforce or Box.
On June 2nd 2017 the Californian DMV update it’s website to reflect the permit the transportation service provider. Bauer’s IT joins a list that is dominated by technology companies and car manufacturers. But while Waymo, Apple, or GM are mainly focusing on private vehicles, Bauer’s IT joins similar efforts that bus companies such as Navya or SB Drive are working on: making self-driving buses.
