The ink on the verdict from the German Federal Administration Court is not even dry yet, and the first city has already announced a Diesel ban. Hamburg is planning to ban Diesel cars from two high traffic roads, starting end of April. The first one is the Max-Brauer-Allee, which will be closed for cars that are not fulfilling Euro 6 and trucks with Euro VI. The second road will include parts of the Stresemannstraße for trucks older than Euro VI.
The planing is already done, exemption will be issued for residents and visitors, as well as emergency vehicles, garbage trucks and delivery trucks. The all year ban will be reinforced by increased police inspections.
