AutoX, a San Jose based startup, unveiled a new delivery robot at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS). The company, founded by Jianxiong Xia develops self-driving technology for cars and delivery robots. This robot resembles a similar vehicle by Nuro, another Silicon Valley-startup developing delivery robots.
An approach that AutoX is pursuing is the so-called ‘camera-first’-principle, with Lidars only as support system, while the main sensor are off-the-shelve cameras.
We have in the past already given an overview on delivery robots from multiple other companies.
