Cumulative Global Sales of Electric Vehicles Reach 4 Millions

With this week, 4 million passenger electric vehicles have been sold worldwide. That comes from a Bloomberg in its latest New Energy Finance report. The biggest share has China wit 37 percent of all sales, followed by Europe with 28 percent and North-America with 26 percent.

While it took 60 months to reach the first million electric vehicles sold, the next million was done in only 17 months. The 3rd million was hit 10 months later, and the 4th million within 6 months. Bloomberg estimates that within 6 months, latest March 2019, the 5th million electric vehicle will be sold.
