Imagry Inc and Ridecell became the 58th and 59th company to receive a license for testing autonomous vehicles on public roads by California DMV.
Imagry, which is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio-based, and with development centers in Haifa, is developing vision based autonomous driving. Their approach is ‘cameras-only’, without LiDAR or radar. The company was founded in 2015 and has raised so far 7.4 million dollars in venture capital.
San Francisco-based Ridecell was founded in 2009 and is working on an end-to-end platform, that allows others to launch, operate, and scale a carsharing, ridesharing, or autonomous ridehailing service. The company has raised in three round 45.8 million dollars.
