Helm.ai 62nd Company With California Test License for Autonomous Cars

Helm.ai received as the 62nd entity a permit from California DMV for testing autonomous vehicles on all public roads in California.

Even though the company website is pretty blank so far with only a link to a recruiting website, Crunchbase reveals that the company, founded in 2016 and based in Menlo Park, has raised 10 million dollars and is working on perception algorithms for autonomous cars, drones and robots.

Helm.ai is an algorithm and AI centric company working on the fundamental perception problem for autonomous navigation. Our ultimate goal is achieving full autonomy – that is, safe algorithmic navigation completely independent from any human input – for self-driving cars, drones and consumer robots. We are productizing along the full spectrum of autonomy, using our state of the art computer vision and semi supervised deep learning technology.

The founder and CEO is the Berkeley mathematics graduate Vladislav Voroninski.
