Unidentified Lexus Spotted In … Australia?

These pictures of two Lexus SUVs with LiDAR and cameras on the roof were sent to me from an anonymous reader. The pictures were taken in … wait for it … Newman in Western Australia!

As always, any hints what company could be behind those tests at the other side of the globe, are highly appreciated.
