Waymo customers received an interesting notification today: in the next days and weeks, they will be notified on their Waymo-app, whether their ride will be completely driverless, without a safety driver on their driver’s seat. So far, Waymos in Phoenix have been driving with safety drivers, but now the next stage will be launched.
They also will see some information on what to expect, as well as how to behave in case of an emergency. Here is a screenshot of the announcement:
