It took less than 12 months from the ground-breaking ceremony to delivery of the first vehicles. Tesla set an impressive pace with the Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai. Just in time for the end of the year, Tesla began delivering the Model 3, which has been coming off the assembly line for a few weeks now, at a pace that must be considered the benchmark for all other regions (I mean you, Brandenburg!).
Photos were posted on Tesla’s official Weibo channel of the handover of the first Model 3 produced in the Gigafactory 3 to the first 15 happy employees.
Among them was a wedding proposal from an employee who had filled the frunk with flowers and asked for her hand in marriage. She seems to have said yes.
Tesla is even on a record run, with more than 100,000 vehicles to be delivered in the quarter for the first time, and internal company targets of 105,000 units.
