One of the biggest crowd magnets at the CES 2020 in Las Vegas was certainly Ford’s Mach E, the electrified version of the Ford Mustang. You could barely get at the car, there were so many people standing around…
The vehicle is scheduled for market launch later in 2020, with the mid-range models First Edition and Premium being targeted first, followed by the GT, “California Route 1” and the basic version “Select” in spring 2021. The range of the Premium / California Route 1 is to be 300 miles (480 kilometers), and the basic version 210 miles (338 kilometers). The FordPass Charging Network will then provide access to 12,000 charging stations in the USA. The Mach E will be able to charge up to 150kW, which will increase from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 38 minutes.
The Mach-E GT Performance Edition should make it from 0 to 100 in about 3.5 seconds, with a torque of 830Nm and 459 horsepowers. The entry price is to be 43,895 dollars, the Mach-E Premium will start at 50,600 dollars, the California Route 1 at 52,400 dollars and the GT at 60,500 dollars.
