After several delays, the production of the Tesla Semi seems to be getting serious. Originally announced for 2019, and then postponed to 2020, Tesla CEO Elon Musk now seems to be preparing the team for the start of production. The delays seem to have come mainly from battery bottlenecks, and the new 4680 batteries are expected to power the Tesla Semi from the get-go.
Now, a pre-production model has been spotted in Sacramento by Twitter user The Kilowatts. He posted a few photos on Twitter.
