New Papamobile Will Be An Electric Fisker Ocean

The Pope not only electrifies, he will also drive electrically in the future. Henrik Fisker, founder of the electric car company of the same name, had an audience with Pope Francis last week and presented the new Popemobile to him. Based on the electric Fisker Ocean, a special design with a retractable dome and bulletproof glass, solar roof and carpets made from recycled plastic bottles is to be handed over to the Holy Father from the end of 2022.

Production of the Fisker Ocean is scheduled to start next year in Graz at Magna. The range of the vehicle with vegan leather is to be 500 kilometers.
