South Korean LIDAR manufacturer Vueron has received a test license from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) that now allows the company to test autonomous vehicles on public roads in California. The company thus joins a long line of others that have or had such a test license. Currently, there are 48 companies, and a total of just under 80 companies have had a permit so far.
The first Vueron vehicles were spotted at CES in Las Vegas in January 2022, where the company had a booth. The company is based in Seoul, with a US-office in San Jose.
