Chinese EV-startup Future Mobility introduced its new brand Byton. Under that name the company is expecting to launch 3 EV vehicles in Europe and the US, starting in 2022. A first SUV shall become available on the Chinese market in 2019. The company will present the car at the CES in Las Vegas in January 2018. After the SUV a sedan and a seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle shall follow.
The Shenzhen-based startup also raised 200 million dollars in an investment round in mid-September. The company has locations in Beijing, Hong Kong, Munich, Santa Clara and Nanjing.
The company was founded by former BMW and Nissan executives and had raised prior to the last round 100 million dollars.
