While the future for Chinese EV-manufacturer Faraday Future is unclear, despite its announcement of having just closed a one billion dollar-round, former executives have started their own thing. EVELOZCITY is the name of the new startup, which has the following mission statement on its still sparse website:
“EVELOZCITY is an electric vehicle company setting out to change the way the world moves.”
The company vision is defined as follows:
“Design, develop and deliver the most competitive, capable, connected and clean mobility device for the next generation.”
EVELOZCITY was founded by Stefan Krause, former CFO at BMW, Deutsche Bank, and Faraday Future. Some other high-ranking former Faraday Future-executives that joined EVELOZCITY are FF’s former chief designer Richard Kim, former Ford-Manager Bill Strickland, who oversaw FF’s vehicle line, as well as former Tesla vehicle developer Sohel Merchant.
The new startup seems to have succeeded raising some money, thanks to Krause’s past efforts raising capital building up trust with investors. More trust at least than with FF-founder and internet billionaire Jia Yueting. Anyways, EVELOZCITY has several open positions posted on its website
