Our reader Katharina Lehmann has kept her eyes open, and this time she met an autonomous test vehicle of Chinese startup Plus.ai. The vehicle had two lidars mounted on the roof’s frontside, as well as two cameras looking forward, and two looking backward. The car was spotted on highway 280 around the Stanford Dish Area, traveling southbound.
The company was founded 2016 with the goal to develop self-driving technology for trucks and passenger vehicles, and has locations in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Xi’an, and Los Altos.
