Waymo Cars On Transporter Spotted On Highway 152

On my way back to the Bay Area I spotted a transporter with three FCA-based Waymo vehicles loaded on the bed. The transporter came on the 152 on-ramp from Santa Nella Boulevard. The cars may have been transported from Waymo’s test ground at the former Castle Air Force Base near Atwater in California back to Mountain View.

What’s interesting is the white cap on the Lidars on the vehicle roofs. The same white hood were spotted by a Reddit user when he was recently in Chandler and found Waymo’s parked outside the depot (see the report). May this be a protective cover?

I stopped twice to let the transporter pass by, so that I could record this video.
