First Spotting of Waymo’s Jaguar iPace

Our reader Jonas Ott encountered and took a picture of Waymo’s first Jaguar iPace with sensor mounts in Mountain View. The picture shows a vehicle by Waymo Engineering with the new LiDAR-camera-mount, still with a DIY rack on the roof. Also Waymo’s Honeycomb LiDARs on the side are still without any cover.

Waymo had ordered 20,00 Jaguar iPace and that specific vehicle is probably one of the first ones for testing purposes. Those cars will be complimenting the 62,000 Fiat-Chrysler minivans that Waymo One is going to use in its planned massive robotaxi fleet.
