After the fatal accident with an experimental self-propelled technology car two years ago, Uber has received back from the California Department of Transportation DMV. This means that there are again 65 companies in California that have a license to test autonomous cars on all public roads.
Uber resumed tests on March 10th, 2020 in San Francisco for a few weeks only with two test vehicles. This time the company intends to be much more cautious.
