The Chinese start-up Inceptio Technology Inc. is the 66th company to be licensed to test autonomous cars on all Californian roads. The company focuses on the development of autonomous semitrailers and related logistics services.
The company emerged from a joint investment by the Chinese IoT company G7, the logistics company GLP and NIO Capital and was founded in 2018 with headquarters in Shanghai. In 2019 it received a test permit for autonomous vehicles for the city of Changsha in the central province of Hunan. In 2020, the Californian branch was opened in Fremont and the first major round of $100 million venture capital was set up at the end of April.
