This pickup with LiDAR was spotted on June 15th, 2020 at around 11:45am on Zanker Road in San Jose, northbound. It turned then later on Los Esteros Road into the ZeroWaste Energy Recycling facility.
The vehicle seems to have one LiDAR mounted on the top of the roof, as well as what seems to be cameras, one facing down on each side. Multiple cables are leading from the sensor down into the pickup bed. Is this a measurement car? Why would ZeroWaste deploy such a vehicle?
Any hints what this kind of car is supposed to do, are welcome!
