A few days ago I noticed increased activity of Waymo vehicles in San Francisco, and the suspicions have now been confirmed by reddit user L1DAR_FTW in a post. He filmed at a not so safe place on the I-280 the Waymo depot, where 51 vehicles can be seen. 42 are Fiat-Chrysler Minivans with Waymo Driver 4th Generation, and 9 are Jaguar iPace with Waymo Driver 5th Generation.
In time comes today’s news that the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC), which is responsible for regulating cabs, today approved the licensing of robotaxi services. Companies can now apply for such a cab license for robo-taxi services.
