Visit at the Lucid Studio

The luxury electric car manufacturer Lucid Motors has opened its first studios, which, similar to Tesla, are located in shopping malls and city centers. One such Lucid studio was opened in the Westfield Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara, about 20 minutes’ drive from Lucid headquarters. And that’s where one of the approximately 80 Beta vehicles that Lucid hand-builds at its Newark headquarters is on display before series production is scheduled to begin in the spring at Casa Grande in Arizona in the brand new factory.

Due to COVID-restrictions we could only look at the car, unfortunately neither touch it nor sit inside, but instead take a virtual tour through the vehicle. First a few impressions of the car itself, the Lucid Air Dream. Technical details I have already posted in a previous article.

A battery block and one of the electric motors were also on display, as well as the choice of color options:

Here an impression of the virtual tour, with which one can experience then also the trunk, the interior and the different configurations:

The Lucid Studio itself is kept very dignified in natural colors and materials that reflect California.

Home charging stations were also on display and some videos on the technology of the vehicle were shown in the showroom.

This article was also published in German.
