A new electric car player from California is getting off the ground: Humble Motors, founded as recently as 2020, today published the first pictures of its SUV, which, instead of a glass roof, has a solar roof measuring just under 7.5(!) square meters. This should allow 60 miles (96 kilometers) of additional range per day to be charged by solar power alone. The company has not yet said anything about the planned battery size of the four-seater.
The vehicle, the Humble One, is 5 meters (198 inches) long, weighs 1,800 kilograms (4,000 pounds) and can be reserved for 300 US dollars. According to the company, there are already pre-orders for 20 million dollars. However, some patience is called for: the Humble One is not scheduled for delivery until 2024 and the price tag starts at $109,000.
