Autel Receives California License For Autonomous Vehicle Testing

Autel, a manufacturer of diagnostic and calibration systems for automakers, today received a license to test autonomous vehicles on all public roads in California. This makes it currently one of 55 active license holders. Previously, there were more than 70 companies that held such a license.

The company is expected to offer systems for the growing autonomous vehicle market that will help calibrate, diagnose and maintain the sensors of autonomous vehicle technology, as it has already done for driver assistance systems. It is seen as a sign of the growing use of autonomous vehicles when a supplier like Autel is now also getting ready for this.
