Production Pace of Tesla Model 3/Y at Gigafactory Shanghai

In the following video, published by Wu Wa, we see the Gigafactory Shanghai from an elevated camera position, showing 16 Model Ys driving out of the production hall in a 10-minute period. InsideEVs estimates that this will complete one Model Y every 38 seconds during peak production periods.

Currently, the Gigafactory Shanghai has a production capacity of more than 50,000 vehicles per month, which corresponds to more than 600,000 vehicles per year. The video also shows the Gigafactory expansions currently under construction.

In a second video, seven Model 3s come off the production floor in a five-minute segment, which would equate to a production time of under 45 seconds.

The Gigafactory in Berlin-Grünheide is also expected to reach one vehicle every 45 seconds at peak times.
