Robotaxi company Cruise demonstrates how a wheelchair can be used to board and operate one of the Cruise Origin robotaxis it has developed. Questions about the disability accessibility of autonomous cars are coming to the forefront as robotic taxi fleets proliferate.

In this regard, the Cruise Origin, a proprietary development of Cruise, is equipped with a ramp that allows wheelchair users to independently enter/drive the vehicle, secure themselves, and have adequate space for the ride.
