The Cruise Origin was unveiled some time ago, but now they are ready to test this steering wheel-less vehicle on public roads, as a spokes person said:
Cruise has submitted, and the DMV has approved, multiple permit applications in the past. We look forward to working with the DMV to facilitate the review and resolve any questions they might have.
The California DMV began processing the application in October, but does not comment on ongoing procedures or provide a date for permit issuance.
