Rivian Produces 10,000 Vehicles in 4th Quarter of 2022

10,020 vehicles produced and 8,054 delivered. That’s the result of the Californian electric car manufacturer Rivian’s powerhouse effort. Although the self-imposed target of 25,000 vehicles for 2022 was not reached with 24,337 cars, the jump in production is huge.

In the same quarter last year, production that had just started was 1,015, but then more than doubled in the following quarter.

Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe also told the staff that 714 more vehicles had already been produced and were in the finishing process. However, these cannot technically be added to the vehicles produced.

Rivian currently produces three vehicle models: the R1T pickup, the R1S SUV and the electric van, of which Rivian investor Amazon has ordered 100,00 units and has close to 1,000 in use so far.
