Supercharger Paradise Kettleman City

Halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, at the intersection of Interstate 5 and Highway 41, is Kettleman City. Right there are two places with Tesla Superchargers. One is the Tesla Lounge with 16 Superchargers, and across the street for about a year now, one with 56 Superchargers.

And that one was pretty busy this time, as you can see in the video.

This place has been open for more than a year, here’s a video from May 2022, when the ground wasn’t even finished asphalting. At 40 degrees quite some burden.

You can escape the heat right next door at Bravo Farms, a fairly large, retro store with restaurants and replicas of gold-digging equipment and a stagecoach.

  1. Have not been to this one, only to the lounge one, which has never been that full on my trips. I presume you would go to this one only if the lounge is full, or perhaps if you want to go to the In-n-out or to Bravo Farms?

    1. I’ve actually never been at the lounge there, always only at the new station and walking over to Bravo Farms.

      1. The lounge is nice enough, but I don’t want to wait in a lounge while charging. However, it is nice if they have a place to eat my take-out while charging, and this lounge has that, both outdoor covered tables and indoor. Every charger should have at least covered picnic tables, unless it’s in a plaza with many restaurants offering the same.
