Unmarked autonomous test vehicle spotted in Palo Alto

An unmarked Hybrid-SUV with eight Velodyne Puck Lidars was spotted on University Avenue in Palo Alto, while driving multiple times up and down the street. Also a high precision GPS was installed on the top of the car.

Remarkable is the number and arrangement of solid state Lidars. While Google uses one Lidar system, or GM up to six, all of which are installed on the car roof, this vehicle uses four Lidars on the corners of the car roof, as well as four on the corners of the car body.

Tips on who the manufacturer is are welcome.
