Apple’s Self-Driving Cars With Massive Amount of Sensors

Apple received its license to test autonomous vehicles in California in April 2017, but one of the big differences to other companies is the massive amount of Lidars packed on the roof. The most recent video from this Twitterfeed and the image (from Twitter user idiggapple) shows four Velodyne Puck Lidars on each corner of the car, in addition to a large number of cameras.

The Verge speculates that those sensors could also have the processors integrated. MacRumors published already in August the first pictures of that specific Apple car.
