Amazon Starts Testing Its First Rivian Electric Delivery Trucks

Amazon ordered 100,000 electric delivery trucks from electric car manufacturer Rivian, and after just one year of design and work, the first vehicle has now been handed over to Amazon. A first prototype was already spotted a few weeks ago. This year, test operations are to begin in a further 15 cities in the USA, and the first 10,000 units are then to go into operation in 2022.

Amazon is committed to achieving net-zero carbon across its operations by 2040, a decade ahead of the Paris Agreement.
