Pony.AI No Longer Has a Driverless License

In mid-May 2021, Pony.Ai, a Chinese startup with a Milpitas office in California, became the 8th company to receive a driverless driving license, and six months later, they’re already rid of it. As seen on the California DMV website, the list was updated on December 3, 2021 and Pony.AI disappeared from the list.

The reasons are not known, but Pony also began driverless test operations in Beijing, China in October 2021.
